Are you a dedicated safety professional looking to make a real impact in the heart of Western Australia?
We are seeking a proactive Safety Officer to join a WA Government team in the Wheatbelt for 6 month contract with potential extension.
You will play a critical part in maintaining an excellent safety culture, ensuring the team and contractors return home safely every day.

You will be responsible for everything from documentation review to testing and incident investigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Documentation & Compliance: Develop and review comprehensive Safety Management Plans.

  • Contractor Management: Audit and review contractor safety documentation to ensure alignment with site standards.

  • Risk Management: Lead and participate in risk assessment workshops to identify and mitigate operational hazards.

  • On-site Testing: Conduct regular Alcohol and Drug testing.

  • Incident Investigation: Lead and undertake ICAM-level investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.


What You’ll Bring

We are looking for a communicator who can balance administrative accuracy with practical, field-based safety leadership.

Essential Criteria:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety.

  • WA White Card.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Diploma of Work Health & Safety.
